Is the $500 minimum worth it for a home party in New Jersey?
Most NJ hibachi restaurants charge $50–$65+ per person, plus you deal with a loud dining room, strangers at your table, and the hassle of getting everyone there. With us, the experience comes right to your New Jersey home. Your guests get a private chef, live entertainment, fresh-cooked food, and sake — all included. At $500 for 10 people, that's $50 per head for an experience your guests will talk about for years. The tip (recommended 20%) and any travel cost are extra.
Do I need a backyard? Will it work in my New Jersey home?
No backyard required. Our chefs are trained to cook both indoors and outdoors across all of New Jersey — from townhomes in North Jersey to shore houses in South Jersey. We've set up on terraces, balconies, patios, dining rooms, and living rooms. If cooking indoors, just make sure the smoke detector battery is removed and any sprinklers are covered — we'll handle the rest. You just need space for a folding table where the grill can sit and room for your guests to gather around.
What if it rains, or something comes up?
Rain isn't a cancellation — our chefs can cook under any covered area: tent, patio, awning, or inside. For true cancellations, you have up to 48 hours before your party to cancel or reschedule for free. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice carry a $200 fee. Our chef arrives 10 minutes early every time, so your party starts exactly on schedule.
We have guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate?
Yes. Our food contains no nuts and no sesame products. We accommodate gluten-free guests (bring your own GF soy sauce and we cook your portion separately), and we offer tofu for vegetarian and vegan guests with extra veggies, salad, and noodles to supplement. Please note any allergies or dietary needs in your booking so we come prepared.
